Gentlemen and Ladies
Match Directors please pass this along to your email lists.

I would like to extend an invitation to all USPSA shooters in  Iowa and Illinois to join a new site  http://www.illowapracticalshooters.com
This site will encompase all of the U.S.P.S.A Clubs in Iowa and Illinois.  There will be a section for each club to make match announcements and to chat with their own club, as well as other clubs. There will also be a functional calendar that all of you may post your matches on.  Included with all of this are specified sections that will benefit shooters as well as Match directors, match staff  and coordiantors.  You will have an area to talk to one another about whatever you feel is pertinant.  I have also made sure to include a women's only section, to give our female shooters the opportunity to converse with other female shooters.

This project came about when a few other Match Director's and I were discussing our club's websites.  We came to the realization that we were all paying in a lot for these websites and yet they weren't getting a lot of usage. Those whose websites had forums were getting some use but not a lot,  and some clubs plain didn't have a website.  I do want to make something clear though. We are not trying to compete with the U.S.P.S.A site or Brianenos forums.  This is completely a local thing.  We realize that a lot of the shooters from this area not only use their club, but use a lot of clubs in the area as well.  My hope is that this will help them plan and see what matches are available and when. This website is also not an attempt to close down individual.  There will actually be a link to those sites. It's main intent is to give shooters a chance to communicate across club lines, and not on such a wide national   You can even check your classification status froum our page.  We have added a chat room and will have scheduled chats.  There is a classifieds section, and even a vendor area for local vedors who support our sport.  We are hoping to add discounts at some of these vendors that will be for members only.

We would like very much for you to sign up. The best part about all this, is that it is free for all of you to use we dont ask for donations and were not selling anything.  The site was paid for by a shooter to be used by shooters.

We truly hope this will be useful for all the shooters and match staff, as well as drive new shooters to our matches and hopefully we can all communicate better.

Please give the site  test drive.

Right now there is not much content on the site but we are working hard at getting some.  The content also comes from all of you.

Please Pass this along to any USPSA shooters you may know in the Iowa or Illinois area.

Also the match on the 25th at milan is on!  Be there!

Thanks
